Dairy Explorers 2026

Do you want to learn more about where milk comes from and see the cows that make it, right here in our county?

Orange County 4-H is hosting a Dairy Explorers program at local farms.  Age range is 8-18!

The first 2 sessions will meet at Stap Dairy in Pine Bush on Tuesday, June 16 and June 23 from 5:30-6:30 pm.  The next 3 sessions will meet at Spruce Gate Holsteins in Walden on Tuesday, June 30, July 7, and July 14 from 5:30-6:30 pm. 

The final sessions for both programs will be held at the 4-H Farm & Family Fair in Otisville, Friday, July 24th through Sunday, July 26th.

Youth will be able to:

• Experience how a dairy farm operates
• Learn about how they take care of cows
• Do fun crafts & activities
• Have the opportunity to groom & show a calf at The Country Fair!
